BUDGAM, Jan 21: Socialistic Democratic Party (SDP) President, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi continued her public contact programme in Budgam district and today conducted a door-to-door tour of village Zalapore to have at and on spot study of the public problems and the causes of public anger against the politicians.
She also led a road rally in the locality and later addressed a public gathering in which she expressed her deep concern regarding the public sentiment against the Government for ignoring the public aspirations.
Dr Darakhshan said that it was really surprising and shocking to see a huge population was deprived of medical facilities. “A huge population of Zalapore is without a health sub centre. This seems quite astonishing in 21 century,” said Dr Andrabi. She said that political bias has resulted in rejection of the people’s demands for establishment of a Government Medical Centre in the area.
Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that again when there are multiple schools in small villages, the old Middle School of Zalapore was not considered for being promoted to a High School again on the behest of the political interference. Dr Andrabi slammed the local administration for working as a toy in the hands of politicians and thus going ahead without a plan on equality basis.
SDP president said that it was a welcome sign that the people of the area have understood the tricks of the Minister politics and have decided to go for a political change. Dr Darakhshan said that this change was inevitable now for the betterment of the population of this area. She appealed to the district administration to take up the long pending demands of the people who have been deliberately ignored.
