Damaged Govt records

Sir,
Recently a Column titled Damage caused to Govt records by Dr Raja Muzaffar Bhat was published in this paper. The columnist has highlighted a very important issue that needs to be investigated by the Government by constituting a special team or commission. Many corrupt elements have destroyed their official record and now they claim that the same was destroyed in September 2014 floods. As Dr Muzaffar has mentioned about Royal Springs Golf Course Srinagar , I known very well that this Golf Course including its office was not at all damaged in last years floods. We hope Government must take up this issue with the Crime Branch. The authorities need to prepare a list of all the Government offices where the official records got destroyed. This list must be made public as well , so that not every Govt office in order to hide its misdeeds claims that its records got destroyed. Some Govt departments are asking for  exemption from being asked to provide information under RTI under the garb of floods . G R Sufi CIC must also get this matter investigated.
Yours etc…
