JAMMU, May 15: All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch alongwith other organizations held protest demonstration at Exhibition Ground near Press Club of Jammu regarding atrocities on Seema Devi W/o Suraj Prakash R/o Deharan during police custody at Police Station Kanachak. She was brutally beaten by SHO Kanachak and his associates.
While talking to media person Sham Lal Basson, president Dalit Chetna Manch said that not only Seema Devi, her family members including her husband were beaten and threatened of dire consequences. Seema Devi said that SHO Kanachak alongwith his three associates had done unnatural offence with her during custody. We strongly condemn such type of acts by SHO Kanachak and his associates. This is a gross violation of human rights. We demand stern action against SHO Kanachak and his associates including a lady Cop.
