Dalai Lama’s 3-day teachings conclude in Leh

LEH, July 30: Spiritual Buddhist leader the Dalai Lama’s 3-day teachings concluded with offering ‘Stenjuk’ prayer for His Holiness long life.
Among those participated in the Stenjuk offering led by Ladakh Buddhist Association, Ladakh Gonpa Association include LBA branches head from different regions of Ladakh, representatives of women, different monastery, different Tsogspa, CWC members, volunteers and workers.
During the teaching people donated generously towards, Stenjuk offering to His Holiness.
Earlier in the morning, the Dalai Lama reached the teaching venue around 7:00 AM in order to perform the necessary religious rituals prior to bestowing the empowerment of Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of great compassion. As he walked around the stage to greet the devotees, the blessed people stood up on their respective place to reciprocate his greeting and offer their prayer to His Holiness.

On the first day of teaching, the spiritual leader gave teaching on Shantideva’s ‘A guide to the Bodhisatttva’s way of life’ which continued on second day of his teaching on Friday. Inspite of inclement weather condition on Friday, devotees in large number thronged Jevetsal to attend the second day teaching sermon.
On the final day of teaching, devotees started reaching the teaching venue as early as 3:00 AM. While conferring Avalokitseshvara empowerment teaching. The Dalai Lama said that love, compassion and kind heartedness is the basic principal of all religion.
“All of us talk about world peace but to fulfill purpose that we all should have peace of mind and happiness mind and with this kind of intention there will be true happiness and peace in the world,’ he said. The number of devotees increased manifold on the final day of teaching in order to attend the most important session of the teaching ‘Avalokitseshvara empowerment teaching’.
Meanwhile, traffic regulation improved from the second of teaching with devotees appreciating Ladakh Police and volunteers for their close coordination to make the teaching a great success.
