SRINAGAR, Sept 4: Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) today appealed public and authorities to allow free passage to ambulances and hospital staff during lockdown and curfew.
The DAK president, Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan earnestly requested public and authorities to ensure free and safe movement of ambulances and medical staff. “In order to save sick and wounded, it is imperative to facilitate hassle-free movement of ambulances and medical staff. In the past eight weeks, there have been number of attacks on ambulances and medical personnel by security forces,” he said.
The DAK president said that some miscreants are targeting ambulances and staff to defame public and demean the ’cause’. “Such incidents of disruption of medical services are costing lives which is unacceptable. It is the duty of society to identify these elements and expose those under whose directions they are doing it,” he said.
