DADAA organizes rally demanding Satellite Duggar Channel

JAMMU, Mar 27: Doordarshan Approved Drama Artists Association (DADAA) here today organized a peaceful rally from Maharaja Hari Singh Park to Pt. Prem Nath Dogra Chowk.
A large number of artists including actors, producers, directors, writers, singers, musicians, cameramen, spot boys, choreographers and prominent Jammuites under the banner of DADAA Jammu participated in the rally demanding Satellite Duggar Channel for the protection and development of rich cultural heritage, art and languages of Duggar land in general and for the welfare of artists in particular.
The protesters said that Satellite Duggar Channel will cover the area of Jammu region of 32,200 sq. km.
“Languages other than Dogri which are spoken in Jammu province and its adjoining areas as well as in Pakistan and PoJK are Gojri, Bhaderwahi, Kishtwari, Pahari, Mirpuri, Poonchi and Mujafrabadi,” the protesters maintained adding: “Each of these languages has centre base in Jammu and these languages are well understood and spoken in many parts of Pakistan and PoJK, so the Satellite Duggar Channel may effectively counter anti-India propaganda of Pakistan.”
They informed that DADAA has also started signature campaign to seek the support of general public of Jammu region for the demand of Satellite Duggar channel.
