JAMMU, Sept 19: Top militant Mehraj-ud-Din Wani alias Daand could be involved in some more blasts across the country during past years.
Investigators said Daand was being probed in Kolkata blast and one of the blasts in New Delhi targeting Israel Embassy.
Involvement of Mehraj-ud-Din has already been established in Lajpat Nagar blast of New Delhi in 1996 in which his name had figured as Javed Guru.
Official sources said Daand could have been directly or indirectly involved in many more blasts, which had taken place across the country during past two decades as he had been running a major network of terrorists from Nepal and Pakistan.
“A number of militants and Over Ground Workers (OGWs) were at the disposal of Daand’’, sources said, adding that his interrogation by multiple agencies was expected to give vital clues.
