JAMMU, Apr 29: A delegation of Czech Republic, led by Karel Schwarzenberg, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Czech Republic, visited the Chamber House, here today and interacted with the president Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Jammu, his team and others.
The main issues discussed in the meeting included exchange of technology in the field of textile manufacturing and also student and teacher exchange programs in Tourism sector. It was also desired by the Czech Republic delegation that a delegation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu should visit their country which would give a great boost in the fields of tourism exchange, better education facilities in the field of tourism and technology update in the industries.
The Chamber president Rakesh Gupta requested the visiting delegation to visit Jammu again but for more days so that the Chamber could show them the places like Bhaderwah, Patnitop and Mansar etc. The delegation further asked if Jammu industries could export products to their country for which they could facilitate the meetings.
The visiting delegation comprised of Pavel Holik, Vice Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Leo Luzar, Chairman of the Subcommittee for External Economic Relations, Karel Rais, Chairman of the Subcommittee for Development Cooperation, Milan Hovorka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to India, Zuzana Putnarova, Secretary of the Foreign Affairs Committee, Roman Masarik, Deputy Head of Mission of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in New Delhi and Silvie Ginterova, Interpreter.
Chamber president Rakesh Gupta was accompanied by Deepak Aggarwal, Jr vice president CCI , Rahul Mahajan, secretary CCI, Vikrant Kuthiala, chairman, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry (J&K Chapter), Rahul Sahai, vice chairman CII (J&K Chapter) and Lalit Mahajan, Chairman Federation of Industries Jammu.
