JAMMU, Apr 28: A 9 member delegation of Czech Republic led by Karel Schwarzenberg, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Committee of Chamber of Deputies, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The delegation discussed various matters of mutual interest to both India and the Czech Republic and establishment of strong economic cooperation between the two countries.
The Chairman of the delegation observed that the purpose of their visit was to acquaint themselves with rich diversity of India. During the delegation’s discussions with the Governor it was suggested that the possible areas of economic co-operation in J&K could include harnessing of vast hydro power potential, solid waste management, tourism promotion and civil aviation.
Later, the delegation also called on Speaker Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta.
