Cyber Police produces supplementary chargesheet in online pension fraud case

JAMMU, Sept 18: Cyber Police Jammu has filed supplementary chargesheet against accused in 34 lakhs online pension fraud case in time bound manner that had been registered at Cyber Police Station Jammu, said SP Naresh Singh.
“On 20 February this year, a written complaint was lodged by a person namely Inder Pal Singh that he was defrauded by some unknown fraudsters who pretended themselves as employees of Insurance Company and allured the complainant by offering him to buy units of Canadian pension funds”, SP said.
SP added that acting over the complaint, a case FIR Number 10/2021 was registered at Cyber Police Station Jammu. During the course of investigation, Investigating Officer succeeded in identifying and locating the accused involved in the fraud and subsequently arrested him from Patiala. The arrested accused is presently in judicial custody, he stated.
The accused arrested is identified as Sukhdeep Singh, son of Iqbal Singh, a resident of Patiala.
“The chargesheet is produced by Inspector Vikram Sharma”, SP said, adding that further Investigation is still going on into the case to nab other associate and ascertain involvement in other cyber fraud cases.
