SAMBA, Nov 27: Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of J&K Police in district Samba has refunded defrauded amount of Rs forty three thousand five hundred (Rs43,500 ) in an online financial fraud reported by the complainant.
Police said a complainant namely Sandeep Singh, son of Jagdev Singh of Jatta district Samba has lodged an online financial fraud complaint in National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal in which fraudster cheated him of Rs 43,500.
The team of Cybercrime Investigation Unit under DySP Hqrs, Samba headed by Inspector rank officer displayed relentless efforts and advanced technical skills, leading to the successful refunding of all the defrauded amount of Rs 43,500 to the complainant. Further investigation is going on, police said.
SSP Samba, appealed to the general public to remain vigilant, not to share their credentials online/ offline with anybody, not to click unknown lurking links and promptly report any suspicious online activities to the National Cybercrime Helpline Number 1930.
