CWA, TNWS deputation meets BSNL GM

JAMMU, Jan 6: A joint deputation of Trikuta Consumer Welfare Association (CWA) and Trikuta Nagar Welfare Society (TNWS) today met GM (CM) BSNL Jammu, Ajay Kumar Kararha, ITS, to bring to his notice the current miserable service conditions of mobile phone services especially in Trikuta Nagar, Chhanni Himmat, Sainik Colony and Narwal area.
The deputation led by Vikram Gour pointed out that frequent call drops and non-availability of signal is highly irritating. They alleged that the call dropping is adding on to consumer’s bills.
It was also pointed out that counters for senior citizens do not work full time and the area where the paying counters are located need to have ‘wash rooms’ for the convenience of the public.
The deputation pointed out that there is no specific ‘parking area’ in and around BSNL paying counters and the consumers’ vehicles are invariable lifted by Traffic Police.
Kararha told the deputation that BSNL is fast working on removing the deficiencies of mobile service and soon the positive results will be visible.
SK Gupta, SC Sharma, Ashok Arora, AK Kaw, SN Koul and Rajinder Kakkar were part of the deputation.
