JAMMU, June 13: Chenab Valley Power Projects [P] Ltd. (CVPP) today celebrated its 8th Formation Day by organizing functions at its Corporate office Jammu, Project/Site offices, Kishtwar and Camp Office, Faridabad.
On this occasion, M Y Khan, Chairman-CVPP and M S Babu, MD-CVPP conveyed their best wishes to employees and emphasized on the need for making well-co-ordinated efforts to take up the construction of the projects.
The programme was a combination of events by family members, dance group and orchestra team. A number of games for all members, especially for children were also organized. Contributions of all the employees was appreciated with emphasis to work with dedication and high spirits to overcome the impediments in the way for timely achievement of the goals set for the company.
Year 2017-18 is very special for CVPP as it has shifted to its newly constructed building at Jammu and foundation stone of its largest project namely Pakal Dul HE Project was laid by Prime Minister on 19th May 2018 and construction activities are going on rapidly.
Similar function was organized at Pakal Dul, Kiru, Kwar HEPs at Chenab Nagar, Kishtwar followed by dinner cum Iftaar party. The function was attended by S H Zargar, General Manager-PDHEP, Virender Raina, General Manager-Kwar HEP, Virender Salman, Chief Engineer I/c-Kiru HEP and Yogendra Kotha, Chief Engineer I/c-Dul Hasti Power Station.
The function was also graced by Angrez Singh Rana, DC Kishtwar, Abrar Chowdhary – SSP, Kishtwar and other senior officers from State Government.
The CVPP Pvt Ltd was incorporated on this day in the year 2011 for execution of three Hydro Electric Projects namely Pakal Dul (1000 MW), Kiru (624 MW) and Kwar (540 MW) on Chenab river basin in district Kishtwar of Jammu & Kashmir.
