Cut in optical fibre puts BSNL subscribers to problems

JAMMU, Jan 10: Thousands of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) subscribers faced innumerable problems of low network connectivity, which erupted due to cutting of optical fibre.
Due to cutting of optical fibre, the link between Gandhi Nagar Exchange and Kachi Chawni Exchange came down, thus affecting thousands of BSNL subscribers.
Not only telecommunication links developed snag, but also the internet facility was disrupted to a great extent.
People from different areas including Kachi-Chawni, Parade, Janipur, New Plot, Talab Tillo, etc complained against poor cellular and internet service.
Official sources said that the optical fibre got cut near Super-Specialty Hospital this evening, which hampered the BSNL services. Exact location could not be ascertained till late in the night and the fault could not be removed. The services would likely to be restored by tomorrow, sources added.
