Custodian General inspects evacuee properties, 2 Field Inspectors attached

JAMMU, Dec 24: Custodian General, Ajaz Ahmad Bhat along with team of offices of Evacuee Property Department conducted spot inspection of various evacuee properties in tehsil Bishnah and district Samba.
During the inspection it has been noticed that evacuee property which was encroached upon by various unscrupulous elements has been got retrieved and directions were issued to the field agency to fence the land immediately to prevent further encroachment.
The Custodian General took serious note of illegal construction raised in village Chuwa Chak and Charley tehsil Bishnah besides village Behri tehsil Samba and directions were issued to the Custodian Jammu and Assistant Custodian (Tehsildar) concerned besides field staff  to demolish the illegal construction immediately
The Custodian General has issued orders for attachment of Mohammad Younis, Field Inspector Samba and Syed Naved Ahmad, Field Inspector Bishnah in the office of Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu for their negligence of duties till the matter is enquired.
The Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu and Assistant Custodian (Tehsildar) concerned have been directed to lodge FIR against the delinquents for causing damage to the interests of evacuees. The Custodian General along with team of officers also visited evacuee orchard situated at village Partab Singh Pura (Chang) tehsil Ramgarh district Samba where encroachment has also taken place and land measuring about 30 kanals have been retrieved on spot and directions were conveyed to the Custodian Evacuee Property Jammu to fence the land forthwith.
Meanwhile, Deputy Custodian (HQ) Abdul Rashid Sheikh will conduct enquiry with regard to illegal constructions in these villages and furnish report within a period of 15 day.
