JAMMU, May 21: Teachers Welfare Association President, Jasmeet Singh Madaan has demanded curtailment in school timings due to prevalent scorching heat conditions coupled with electricity cuts thus making it difficult for students to sit with continuous sweating.
Already the mercury is hovering around 40 degrees and it is not possible for students to sit in classrooms with hot air coming out of fans and many a times the electricity cuts compounding the problems.
In the present scenario, it is urged upon Director, School Education, Jammu and Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) to curtail the school timings as has been done last year too keeping in view the present weather conditions, he said.
