SRINAGAR, Feb 26: The curfew like restrictions in Lolab area of North Kashmir continued for second consecutive day today during which protesters clashed with police and Para-military Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF).
The curfew like restrictions were imposed yesterday after the killings of seven militants sparked off violent protests leading to injuries to at two dozen people, including senior CRPF and police officers and photo-journalists.
The curfew like restrictions continued in Dardpora and Lalpora but defying curbs, people protested at a few places.
Police and CRPF chased away the protesters. However, they continued to pelt stones at police. The clashes also spread in various areas including Mir Mohalla, Dar Mohalla, Ganai Mohalla, Bye Pass Road, Cement Bridge, Regipora and Iqbal Market.
