CUJ organizes talk on role of women in nation building

JAMMU, Aug 10: Central University of Jammu organized a talk on role of women in nation building, titled ‘Rashtra Nirman Mein Mahilaon Ki Bhoomika’.
The talk was organised under the banner of Dean Students’ Welfare in collaboration with Vishwa Mangalaya Chhatra Sabha.
Shruti Deshpande, Coordinator Vishwa Mangalaya Chhatra Sabha, was the key speaker. She said that it is the responsibility of younger generation to transfer our cultural values to future generations. She focused on the contribution of the girls/women towards nation building.
An MoU was also signed between Vishwa Mangal Chhatra Sabha and Central University of Jammu to provide excellent guidance and holistic development to the students.
The occasion was graced by Professor Sanjeev Jain, Vice Chancellor, Central University of Jammu and Professor Rasaal Singh, Dean Students Welfare.
The Vice Chancellor also honoured Sushma Devi Sambyal, a social activist from a village in Samba for her remarkable contribution to the area. The program was coordinated by Dr Ritu Bakshi, Cultural Officer CU Jammu. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Vinay Kumar, ADSW.
