CTF takes up GST issue with Addl Comm CT Deptt

JAMMU, July 19:  The members of Chamber of  Traders Federation  (CTF)  and different Trade associations held an interactive meeting with the  Additional Commissioner Commercial Taxes, Anu Malhotra  and projected their issues with regard to GST  here today.
The Additional Commiss-ioner was  accompanied by Deputy Commissioners, Kanta Rukwal and  Deepika Sharma, Assistant Commissioner  Rajneesh Gupta and other senior officers of the Commercial Taxes Department.
The members present on the occasion apprised them of lack of awareness amongst trading community about GST. They came up with lots of queries and conveyed their concerns to the officials.
Malhotra duly answered their queries and set at rest apprehensions expressed by the members participating in the session.
Neeraj Anand,  president CTF thanked the officials for imparting necessary  information. While, demanding continuation of hand holding exercises and a lenient approach, he extended full cooperation from CTF for smooth transition to the GST regime.
He reiterated the demand for providing subsidy to all those traders and group of small traders who would like to avail of the computer system to process various formalities necessary to be submitted to the department.
Dinesh Gupta,  president Association of Electric Dealers conducted the proceedings of the session.
Other prominent members those who were present in the session are Yash Paul Gupta,  Attar Singh, Kailash Nath Nagar, Tushar Mahajan, Raghubeer Gupta, Yashpaul Abrol, Shiv Kumar Gupta, Nek Ram Sharma, Kanwaljeet Singh, Atul Sharma, Ravi Gupta, Rohit Sharma, Prag Abrol, Raman Gupta and  Prem Sharma.
