JAMMU, Dec 14: In order to honour the selfless contribution of teachers towards their students, CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar, organized the ‘Best Teacher Award Ceremony’ at Conventional Hall of The Business School, University of Jammu, here today.
The ceremony involved felicitation of 80 teachers from different schools and colleges in Jammu & Kashmir. The title of ‘Best Teacher’ is based on the survey conducted amongst Principals and students of various schools and colleges.
The event was inaugurated by Kavinder Gupta, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and Anuradha Gupta, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jammu in the presence of S Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions and Manbir Singh, Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions. They felicitated all the teachers present on this occasion and honoured them with a title of Best Teacher, awarding them a certificate and memento recognizing their contribution to the teaching profession.
Speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta described the role of a teacher as that of nation builders and true role models for students. Anuradha Gupta further added that educationists should understand and laud the important role that the teachers play in the overall development of the society.
Er Arun Bangotra, Principal, Government Polytechnic Kathua, applauded the efforts of CT Group of Institutions for appreciating the selfless contribution of teachers.
S Charanjit Singh Channi said that such awards not only appreciate work of the teachers but their profession as well. These awards helps to give them due recognition in the society, he added.
