NEW DELHI, Dec 17: Crude palm oil traded higher by 0.14 per cent to Rs 555 per 10 kg in futures market today as speculators created fresh positions after an improvement in demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil prices for delivery in January traded marginally higher by 80 paise, or 0.14 per cent, to Rs 555 per 10 kg in business turnover of 99 lots.
Similarly, the oil price for delivery in December edged up by 70 paise, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 551.50 per 10 kg in 35 lots.
Analysts said fresh positions built up by speculators due to rise in demand in the spot market mainly helped crude palm oil prices to trade marginally higher in futures trade. (PTI)
