Crude oil futures decline on global cues

NEW DELHI, Dec 13: Crude oil futures eased by 0.29 per cent to Rs 6,119 per barrel today in line with a mixed trend in Asian trade.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude oil for delivery in January next year fell Rs 18, or 0.29 per cent, to Rs 6,119 per barrel, with a business volume of 329 lots.
Oil prices for December contracts moved down by Rs 17, or 0.28 per cent to Rs 6,062 per barrel, with a business volume of 2,689 lots.
Marketmen said the fall in crude oil futures prices was mostly in line with a mixed trend in Asian trade as dealers worried about a global oversupply in crude, while speculation the US Federal Reserve will soon scale back its stimulus programme.
Meanwhile, crude oil for delivery in January was down by 1 cent, to USD 97.49 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange, while Brent North Sea crude for January rose four cents to USD 108.71. (AGENCIES)
