Srinagar, Feb 18: Para-military Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today said it have sent another group of students from Bandipora district of North Kashmir on ‘Bharat Darshan’ tour.
A spokesman of CRPF said the 3rd Battalion of the Force has sent 25 students in the age group of 14 to 17 yrs from various Government schools of Bandipora along with 2 teachers and one CRPF officer on the tour.
“The group will be going to Delhi and Lucknow. They will be visiting various historical places and monuments at Delhi and Lucknow for five days, besides meeting some dignitaries,” he said.
He added that the group will perform all the journeys by air from Srinagar to Lucknow and back. “The flagging off ceremony of tour was held at Srinagar in the presence of Commandant Rajesh Vatsa. On this occasion, a large number of prominent citizens, civil/ police officers, parents of the students, teachers and CRPF troops remained present,” he added.
