Srinagar, July 15: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today rescued a girl after she drowned in stream at Ferozpora near Chanpora of Kunzer area of Tangmarg in Baramulla district of North Kashmir.
Nageena, 13, daughter of Mohammad Sharief Din resident of Nagrota Jammu presently staying in Ferozpora was washing clothes on the banks of Nallah when she slipped into the gushing stream creating panic among her family members who were crying for help.
Showing great presence of mind and risking their lives, two CRPF personnel M G Naidu and N Upendra jumped into the stream to rescue the girl. Click here to watch video
After rescuing the girl the personnel immediately took her to Sub District Hospital Tangmarg for further treatment, where she is said to be stable.
The family members of the girl said that they were thankful to those who rescued their daughter. “The incident happened all of a sudden, there was no one to help,” they said.
Meanwhile, Company Com-mander of 176 batallion, R S Singh rewarded the personnel who displayed courage and humanity by rescuing the girl.
