CRPF pays tributes to martyrs

JAMMU, May 13: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) under its Civic Action Programme organized a programme to remember its martyrs and dedicated it to their family members.
The chief guest on the occasion was Dilbag Singh, DGP J&K Police, who while speaking described the professionalism, competency and courage of CRPF as unparalleled.

On one side, artists of local cultural group of Jammu and Kashmir viz ‘Natrang’ presented the cultural diversity of the State in their presentations and on the other side, prominent singer of the country Jaspinder Narula filled the atmosphere with patriotism with its presentation ‘Ai mere watan ke logo’.
During the programme, CRPF expressed gratitude towards its martyrs and honoured their family members. During the event, Nirmala Sharma, wife of martyred Hawaldar Mool Raj, Kamla Devi, mother of martyred Constable Madan Lal, Kamlesh Devi, wife of martyred Naik Raghubir Singh, Madhu, wife of martyred Constable Inderjeet, Mohammed Aslam, son of martyred Hawaldar Abdul Qayoom, Ekta Devi, wife of martyred Constable Joginder Kumar, Madhubala, wife of martyred Constable Mohinder Pal, Rajni Sharma, wife of martyred Hawaldar MM Sharma and Shazia Kausar, wife of martyred Hawaldar Naseer Ahmed were honoured and felicitated.
Bowing to the courage of martyrs of CRPF, Dilbag Singh described their sacrifice as supreme.
At the outset of this program, organized by 166 Battalion CRPF under the aegis of Jammu Sector CRPF, Abhay Vir Chauhan, IG, CRPF, Jammu Sector welcomed all the guests and mentioned about the important role of CRPF in J&K and also reiterated the commitment of force towards families of martyrs.
During the program, Ashish Kumar Jha Commandant 166 Battalion CRPF mentioned about the glorious history of the force filled with martyrdom and also described about its present roles. He expressed honour and gratitude towards martyrs’ families on behalf of CRPF family.
Prof. Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor Jammu University, Dr Amiya Bhaumik, Vice Chancellor Lincoln University Kualalumpur Malaysia, K Vijay Kumar, IG CRPF J&K Zone Headquarters, SS Dogra, IG (Retd) CRPF, Bhupinder Singh, DIG CRPF J&K Zone Headquarters, MP Bahuguna, DIG CRPF Jammu Sector Headquarters, Joginder Singh, DIG CRPF Jammu Sector Headquarters, SP Singh, DIG CRPF, Group Centre Bantalab, Tejinder Singh, IPS SSP Jammu, officers and personnel of civil administration, J&K Police, other security forces, CRPF and their families, local public, faculty and students of Jammu University were also present.
