JAMMU, June 15: Jammu Sector CRPF’s 76 Battalion, in collaboration with the J&K Health Department, today organized a free medical camp here at JDA Colony, Sheikh Nagar, Shiv Mandir, Jammu.
As per a statement, the primary objective of the camp, which was guided by the IG Sector Jammu and DIG Jammu Range, was to extend medical assistance to the underprivileged residents while raising health awareness.
At the medical camp, Dr S Sowmiya from the 76 Battalion, CRPF, and Dr Dimple, a dedicated Medical Officer, diligently conducted free medical check-ups for a considerable number of civilians. Furthermore, they generously provided free medicines to those in need.
Commandant TH Khan, the leader of the 76 Battalion, inaugurated the civic action program. He earnestly appealed to all community members to prioritize physical exercise as a means to maintain fitness, while also emphasizing the importance of a healthy lifestyle and personal hygiene. Additionally, he enlightened the locals about the crucial role played by the CRPF in fostering a harmonious relationship between the force and the community.
The event witnessed the participation of several key figures, including Mahendra Singh, the Battalion’s 2IC, Girish Sontiyal, Deputy Commandant, Karnail Singh, Deputy Commandant, Kushla Nand Sharma, Assistant Commandant of the 76 Battalion CRPF, and Bittu Meahra (President).
The initiative received an overwhelmingly positive response from the locals, who expressed their gratitude and encouraged the CRPF to organize similar camps in the future.
