JAMMU, Oct 1: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly died due to a bullet injury inside Central Kot Bhalwal jail here today, officials said.
Rakesh Kumar of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan, was found dead after a bullet injury in the jail premises, they said.
They said fter hearing a gunshot earlier this morning, the other jawans in the jail premises came out of their barracks and found the jawan lying in a pool of blood with his AK-47 weapon lying close to him.
However, police suspected this as a case of suicide but further investigations have been launched to ascertain the exact cause of the death of the jawan.
