The distance between Tehsil Sunder Bani and Distt Hqrs Rajouri, measures around 80 Kms. The areas like Bambliya, falling in Sunder Bani, are even at larger distance, that is, about 130 Kms one way. Distt Hqrs. in the existing set up of administration, occupies vital significance as all administrative machinery rotates and regulates from there only. Though on line systems do operate yet even for petty cases like licences, gun and driving, one has to go up and down. To overcome the constant inconvenience and troublesomeness to the masses, the need for creation of a new district at Sunder Bani area by amalgmation of the connected areas of tehsil Nowshera and Kalakote, is of crying necessity. Since decentralisation and sharing of powers, is first requisite of any democratic unit, keeping big districts with huge population like Rajouri, obviously obstructs implementation of schemes usefully and effectively. Perhaps this is the reason, still many areas in Sunder Bani and Kalakote tehsils lack even basic facilities like roads, electricity, drinking water and better schooling infrastructures. In the light of the facts, bifurcation of the existing unit (district) suitably, is considered indispensible, if wholesome and comprehensive development of the areas is needed. Since the demand is fully absorbed with justifications, creation of a new Distt Hqrs can’t be overemphasised.
