Crackdown on absconders continue, one more arrested

RAMBAN, Apr 13: Crackdown over absconders continued in the district as Banihal police arrested one more absconder taking the tally of arrested absconders to 17 in the past two months.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Banihal police station conducted a raid and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past 10 years.
The accused has been identified as Ghulam Mohammad Parrey, son of Abdul Rahim Parrey, a resident of Charsu, Tehsil Tral, district Pulwama, Kashmir.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR number 160/2003 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act with police station Banihal.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Banihal police station Inspector Tariq Naik made the arrest under the supervision of SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
It is pertinent to mention here that District Police Ramban has arrested 17 absconders in the past 2 months and all were produced in the Court for further course of legal action against them.
