JAMMU, Feb 24: All J&K Central Para Military Force (CPMF) Welfare Association said that Government of India has failed to redress the problems being faced by retired central para military forces.
Addressing a press conference, general secretary of the association Darshan Kumar said that GoI has declared one rank one pension to the pensioners retired from the Ministry of Defence, but no decision has been taken for the problems being faced by retired central para military forces.
Kumar further stated that every year a good number of men are retired by units, SHO, Ftr HQ, PHQ of the CPMFs, but there is no provision for issue of ex-servicemen status even up to date.
He added that all the widow pensions at initial stage is curtailed only to Rs 3,500 per month when she is in dire need of monitory requirements for breeding, schooling, marriage as well as ailing of dependents. But CPMF are not mentioning the name of spouse’s retiree in PPO’s and by this spouse cannot prove legal beneficiary and live a misery life till existence.
He demanded revision of pension pre-retirees and one rank one pension, ex-serviceman status and enhancement of medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month.
Among others present were KC Bhagat, president, Dalip Singh, State secretary, Nater Singh, Mohammad Manjeet, Sardari Lal Dogra, Ram Lal Dogra and Thoru Ram Bhagat.
