CPMF Welfare Association holds protest against Central Govt

JAMMU, Aug 18: All J&K Central Para Military Force (CPMF) Welfare Association held a protest demonstration against the Central Government here today for not redressing their demands.
Carrying placards, large number of J&K central paramilitary retired personnel assembled outside Press Club and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
The protestors were demanding one rank one pension, martyrs status to the CPMF soldiers, who were killed in action, removal of anomaly in pension structure of pre 2006 retirees, implementation of ex-servicemen status in letter and spirit, enhancement of medical allowance to Rs 2,000, ECHS medical facility instead of CGHS, separate pay commission or a separate chapter in 7th Pay Commission report for CPMFs and unconditional promotion to the CPMFs personnel after every 8 years interval. They blamed the ousted Government for its dilly delaying tactics toward the issues of CPMFs.
While speaking, president of the association Kartar Chand Bhagat urged the Prime Minister to fulfill his commitment and provide equal benefits and facilities to the CPMFs at par with defence forces.
Darshan Kumar, general secretary also requested the IG BSF to arrange meeting with the CPMF retirees to know the problems being faced by them.
Netar Singh, spokesman of the association stressed upon Home Minister Rajnath Singh to hold meeting with CPMFs retirees to know their burning problems for redressal.
