JAMMU, Apr 22: To commemorate 4th Annual Day on April 22 instead of April 21, the leaders and representatives of Ex Central Para-military Force Welfare Association (CPMF), today paid tributes to the martyr soldiers at Makhan Shah Lubana Hall Kotli Shah Daula in teshil RS Pura who had sacrificed their lives for the nation while fighting militancy in disturb areas of the country.
Former-MoS Defence Chaman Lal Gupta graced the occasion and Ram Avtar 1G BSF FTR HQ BSF Paloura Camp was also present.
The all Ex-Servicemen, Veer Naris and dependents of soldiers also participated and shared life long experience of oldies the defenders of yesterdays from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana and J&K.
Before beginning of celebration, a two minutes silence was observed and prayed to the almighty God to grant the eternal peace to the brave hearts martyred while fighting the militancy, all over the country.
During the celebration, around 25 sewing machines, 30 blankets and 15 bed sheets were distributed among Veer Naris by Anil Gupta.
Association general secretary Darshan Kumar Bhagat in his address highlighted issues and demands related to Ex-Central Para Military Forces including medical facilities like ECHS, CSD facilities on the Army Pattern, revision of pension pre 2006 Retirees and other demands. He further requested the MHA GoI to resolve the issues and demands of the Association.
