Cowshed, transformer, vehicle damaged in blaze

SRINAGAR, Nov 27: Police today said an electric transformer, a cowshed and a vehicle were damaged while a sheep was charred to death in two different fire incidents in Valley.
A police spokesman said fire broke out in the cowshed of Mohammad Afzal Khan at Zonipora locality of Hajin in Bandipora district, resulting in charring of a sheep to death and damage to the cowshed. “The fire tenders with the help of police and locals brought blaze under control. The cause of fire is being ascertained,” he said.
The spokesman said a fire broke out in an electric transformer near Jammu and Kashmir Bank at Bypass in Kupwara district, resulting in damage to the transformer and partial damage to a Wagon-R vehicle bearing registration number JK09-606. “The fire tenders with the help of police and locals brought blaze under control. However, no loss of life or injury was reported,” he said.
