COVID cases fall below 400 in J&K, 19 in Leh

JAMMU, July 25: COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir today came down to below 400 after crossing 600 yesterday while the Union Territory of Ladakh added 19 positives.
Out of 383 COVID positive cases in the UT, 237 were logged in Kashmir division and 146 in Jammu region.
Jammu district accounted for 98 fresh cases followed by Rajouri 19, Udhampur 17, Kathua six, Kishtwar three, Samba two and Doda one.
Poonch, Ramban and Reasi districts didn’t report any fresh cases today.
As against 383 new cases, 243 persons recovered from the virus.
Jammu and Kashmir now has 3379 active positive cases including 1715 in Jammu division and 1664 in Kashmir valley.
Jammu district has highest number of 1135 active cases followed by 145 in Kathua, 124 Udhampur, 73 in Poonch, 66 Rajouri, 56 Kishtwar, 45 Doda, 40 Samba, 21 Ramban and 10 in Reasi district.
Meanwhile, the Union Territory of Ladakh today recorded 19 COVID positive cases, all in Leh district.
Ladakh now has 134 active positive cases—128 in Leh and six in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir reported 237 COVID-19 cases today.
Srinagar recorded 105 cases, Baramulla 60, Anantnag 25, Pulwama 13, Budgam 10, Kupwara 9, Kulgam 7, Bandipora 6 and Shopian 2.
