COVID cases, deaths dip in Kashmir; 545 test +ve, 5 die

SRINAGAR, June 13 : Kashmir reported further dip in COVID-19 cases with 545 testing positive and five people succumbing to the virus taking death toll in Jammu and Kashmir to 4186.
Those who died today include an 80-year-old from Rakhi Pulwama and a 60-year-old man from Awantipora in the same district.
Srinagar reported 149 cases, Baramulla 38, Budgam 83, Pulwama 49, Kupwara 64, Anantnag 59, Bandipora 38, Ganderbal 22, Kulgam 35 and Shopian 8 cases.
With fresh cases, Srinagar has 68228 positive cases with 2194 active, 65220 recovered, 814 deaths; Baramulla has 22688 positive cases with 1361 active, 21054 recovered, 273 deaths; Budgam reported 21829 positive cases with 1068 active cases, 20562 recovered, 199 deaths; Pulwama has 14414 positive cases with1267 active, 12967 recovered and 180 deaths; Kupwara has 13262 positive cases, 864 active, 12245 recoveries, 153 deaths; Anantnag district has 15522 positive cases with 973 active, 14357 recovered, 192 deaths; Bandipora has 8989 positive cases, with 396 active and 8495 recoveries, 98 deaths; Ganderbal has 9287 positive cases with 458 active, 8756 recoveries and 73deaths; Kulgam has 10702 positive cases with 700 active, 9893 recoveries and 109 deaths while as Shopian has 5499 positive cases,254 active positive cases, 5187 recoveries and 58 deaths.
Moreover, 1965 more COVID-19 patients have recovered and were discharged from various hospitals including 1267 from Kashmir Division.
Besides this, 76.05 percent of population above the age of 45 years has been vaccinated across Jammu and Kashmir.
In J&K out of 307412 cases, 15081 are active, 288145 have recovered and 4186 have died including 2149 in Kashmir division.
