COVID cases cross 600 in J&K, 24 in Ladakh

JAMMU, July 24: COVID cases in Jammu and Kashmir today crossed 600 while 24 fresh cases were reported in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Among 631 daily cases in J&K, 367 were reported from Kashmir division and 264 in Jammu region.
However, no casualties were reported today.
Among 264 cases in Jammu division, 162 were registered in Jammu district, 23 in Udhampur, 20 in Poonch, 13 Ramban, 11 each in Rajouri and Kishtwar, eight Doda, seven Kathua, five Reasi and four in Samba district.
Active positive cases in J&K stood at 3239 including 1726 in Jammu and 1513 in Kashmir.
Meanwhile, Ladakh today reported 24 COVID positive cases including 20 in Leh and four in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 121 active cases—115 in Leh and six in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 367 COVID-19 cases taking the tally of cases in Jammu and Kashmir to 456175.
Among the total cases, 290343 are from Kashmir. So far 4763 people have succumbed to the virusincluding 2426 in Kashmir.
An official said that 193 COVID-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours inlcuding 108 from Kashmir Valley.
