DODA, Mar 19: A case has been registered against a man for spreading fake news regarding death of a person in Kishtwar district due to coronavirus.
This was stated by District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda Sagar D Doifode while interacting with media persons here today.

He informed that strict action will be taken against the persons who will spread lies in the society.
“We have registered an FIR against a person who posted fake news on social media regarding death of a person of Kishtwar due to coronavirus. This was the most irresponsible behaviour by him and we had no option but to register an FIR,” DC said.
A case under FIR Number 48/2020 under Section 188 of IPC has been registered against Haq Nawaz Nehru at Police Station Doda for posting the fake news on his Whatsapp group and on his Facebook page regarding death of a person namely Babloo, son of Krishan Lal of Palmar District Kishtwar due to coronavirus at GMC Jammu, DC stated.
