SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir’s COVID-19 tally climbed to 27,489 on Friday with 540 fresh cases, while the death toll rose to 520 as 11 more people succumbed to the contagious disease in the union territory, officials said.
All 11 deaths were reported from the Kashmir Valley, they said.
Of the fresh cases, 421 were reported from Kashmir and 119 from Jammu, the officials said.
With these, the total number of infected people in Jammu and Kashmir has risen to 27,489, they said.
Srinagar district in central Kashmir recorded the maximum number of fresh COVID-19 cases at 108, followed by 67 in Jammu district, they added. (AGENCIES)
