Court rejects bail application in attempt to murder case

JAMMU, Jan 24: Chief Judicial Magistrate Jammu, S C Katal rejected the bail application of one Prince Kumar, who was arrested for murderous attack on one Sham Lal over a land dispute.
After hearing CPO Sanjay Kohli for the State, CJM observed, “the case is still under investigation and as per the police weapons of offence are yet to be recovered from the accused persons”.
“If the accused is granted bail there is every possible chance that he will try to influence the prosecution witnesses. Moreover, the injured is till admitted in hospital as such the case is exceptional one”, the court said, adding “at this initial stage of investigation bail cannot not be given to accused person”.
With these observations, court dismissed the bail application.
