JAMMU, Jan 16: Former Revenue Minister, Raman Bhalla today filed a civil suit in the court of Special Mobile Magistrate Jammu for restraining Jammu Municipal Corporation from demolishing his residential house situated at village Deeli.
After hearing Advocate Amit Chopra appearing for former Revenue Minister, Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate, M R Chak issued notices to the Commissioner JMC, Joint Commissioner (Adm) JMC, Naresh Kumar Khilafwarzi Inspector and Kamini Kesar Chief Khilafwarzi Officer as to why the relief prayed for in the application for temporary injunction be not granted in favour of Raman Bhalla.
Advocate Sachin Gupta, Standing Counsel for Jammu Municipal Corporation sought time to file written statement/objections to the application for interim relief. However, Advocate Amit Chopra pressed for interim relief.
After hearing both the sides, Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate granted time to Advocate Sachin Gupta for filing written statement/objections to the suit filed by Raman Bhalla and fixed the matter for January 19 for further proceedings.
