JAMMU, Jan 24: CJM Reasi Amarjeet Singh Langeh has directed SHO Police Station Reasi to register FIR against Mohd Shariff, son of Haji Iqbal of Jindrah for duping innocent people of lakhs of rupees in the name of ‘Trat Gola’.
The accused was introduced to complainant by common friends and it was promised that the accused would give to complainant a rare and unique stone which is formed due to lightening in the sky and whose international price is in crores just for an amount of Rs 22,50,000.
Though complainant paid amount to the accused yet he was never given the stone as such he was duped by the accused. Despite credible prima facie evidence been made available to SHO Police Station Reasi by complainant the SHO concerned did not register the FIR and instead complainant seems to have been advised/ suggested to approach Crime Branch.
After going to the complaint, the court directed SHO Police Station Reasi to register FIR against accused under relevant provisions of law forthwith and submit compliance report within two days.
