JAMMU, Dec 20: Principal Sessions Judge Rajouri Shahzad Azeem with the charge of Additional Sessions Judge Rajouri, today rejected the bail applications of three charas smuggler.
These smugglers are Mehtab Ahmed, son of Farooq Ahmed Khan, Mohd Aurangzeb, son of Shaiq Khan and Mohd Yaseen, son of Mohd Hussain, all the residents of Rajouri. They were arrested on 26.10.2018.
After hearing both the sides, court observed, “menace of drug trafficking has drastically shoot up specially in J&K for the last two and half decades and has swollen in its venomous ambit , the young generation”, adding “in case perpetrators of this gruesome crime are let loose, there is every likelihood of repetition and continuing transportation and smuggling of alleged narcotic”.
With these observations, court rejected the bail application.
