JAMMU, Mar 20: Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta today rejected the bail application of Raman Kumar and Sneh Gupta, both Assistant Superintendents and Rajat Gupta, beneficiary who were involved in the much publicized Plus 2 examination scam.
After hearing both the sides, Additional Sessions Judge observed, “the law is clear that while granting bail, various factors are to be considered. In the present case accusation is serious as petitioners have shaken confidence of public at large specially young students who are studying hard for appearing in examination”.
“The investigation is at threshold stage and in case bail is granted, there is every apprehension that petitioners will tamper the prosecution evidence”, the court said.
With these observations, court rejected the bail applications.
