JAMMU, Aug 27: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected the bail application of one Varun Gupta, who was allegedly involved in rape case.
After hearing Advocate Pawan Kundal for the applicant whereas APP Rakesh Badyal for the State, Presiding Officer observed, “release of the accused at this stage and his remaining outside will cause deleterious effect on the minds of general public and thwart the cause of justice”.
With these observations, court dismissed the application.
