JAMMU, Nov 23: 2nd Additional Munsiff Jammu, Aarti Mohan today awarded one year imprisonment to a shopkeeper namely Rahul Mahajan, son of Mulkh Raj Mahajan, who had molested a lady customer.
According to police case, on December 22, 2002 prosecutrix visited the shop of accused at City Chowk to buy a suit. When she reached first floor of the shop in search of a particular suit, the shopkeeper closed the door and tried to molest the complainant by taking her into his arms.
The complainant with great difficulty released herself from the grip of a shopkeeper and went to Police Station. Accordingly, a case was registered and after completion of investigation challan was presented in the Court under Section 354/342 RPC.
After hearing Prosecuting Officer Anshuman Dubey for the State, 2nd Additional Munsiff observed, “prosecution has succeeded in establishing the offences as such one year imprisonment is awarded to Rahul Mahajan”.
