UDHAMPUR, July 27: A couple sustained serious burn injuries at their home in Adarsh Colony Udhampur while four persons were injured in separate road accidents, here today.
According to the reports, Veena Devi (48), wife of Tara Singh of Ward Number 2 Adarsh Colony Udhampur was caught in fire while working on gas stove at her residence. As Tara Singh tried to rescue her, he too sustained burn injuries.
The couple of immediately shifted to the District Hospital Udhampur and their condition was stated to be serious.
Meanwhile, three persons were injured when a Wegon-R JK01W-3122 rolled down near Maand Udhampur. All the injured were shifted to District Hospital Udhampur for treatment.
In another road mishap, an elderly pedestrian namely Dwarka Nath (70), son of Hari Chand of Shanker Nagar Udhampur, was hit by a minibus at Talab Sallian area. The injured man was shifted to hospital for treatment.
