JAMMU, July 26: RS Pura police arrested a couple operating in ‘Bunty-Babli’ style of Abhishek-Rani Mukherjee starrer “Bunty Aur Babli” along with their associate arrested for duping people.
As per police sources, after complaints poured in from some persons in RS Pura Police station, a special team headed by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma was formed under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
The team laid a trap and caught Neha Sharma and her husband Raghubir Singh, son of Gopal Singh, resident of Dewangarh, Suchetgarh.
The duo were involved in preparing fake documents of Government orders, passbooks of fake finance companies, illegal cards of different Government schemes, luring youngsters for Government jobs etc.
The team also raided a shop and recovered a printer and a laptop where these illegal prints were carried out and subsequently arrested one of their associate identified as Sunil Kumar alias Sunny, son of Darshan Lal, a resident of Kullian, RS Pura.
It is reliably learnt that Raghubir is running a news portal and Neha is a law graduate student.
From the possession of accused 200 blank cards, passbooks, stamps of different organizations, fake media card, fake cheque books, ATM cards of Pardhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, laptops, mobile phones and printers were recovered.
A case under FIR Number 153/2020 under Sections 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B IPC was registered at Police Station RS Pura against the arrested persons and investigation has been initiated.
A police official said that this is a big racket and some more arrests can’t be ruled out.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu Adil Hamid and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
