JAMMU, Sept 27: A married couple was arrested with 38 grams of heroin-like-substance from Sikanderpur Kothey area falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah here.
Abdul Majeed of Gidder Galliyan at present Sikanderpu Kothey, Bishnah, and his wife were arrested with the consignment from Sikanderpur Kothey area by a team of Police Station Bishnah led by SHO concerned, Inspector Rakesh Singh Jamwal, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Gurmeet singh and SP Headquarters Jammu, IH Rather, a police official said.
They were accordingly booked in case FIR number 108/2025 under sections 8/21/22/29 of the NDPS Act registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up to trace the source and destination of the recovered contraband, he said.
The police official added that a financial investigation has also been initiated to trace the proceeds of illegal narcotics trade to take appropriate legal action in the matter.
