JAMMU, Aug 14: Former minister and working president of JKPCC, Raman Bhalla today stressed upon all the workers of his party to effectively counter the misleading campaign launched by the BJP leaders in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing meeting of the party workers in Bakshinagar area of Jammu West today,
Bhalla asked party leaders and office bearers to continue with their awareness campaign against BJP’s wrong policies, false propaganda and programmes and said the party would not allow anyone to barter the interests of J&K people for their own nefarious interests. He said the victory of Congress in the upcoming polls is the solution to every problem.
Bhalla, during meeting, reviewed the ground activities of the party in Jammu district and took stock of various organizational initiatives and matters. He also asked the party leaders to work closely with the grassroots workers in addressing pressing public issues and concerns in their respective areas.
“Our workers are the backbone of the party and all efforts should be made to involve the youth in evolving ways to strengthen the party and also reach out to the people who are facing the worst possible era of mis-governance and political instability due to the opportunistic Govt in J&K”, Bhalla said.
He asserted that Congress under the stewardship of Rahul Gandhi is relentlessly fighting for the restoration of the fundamental rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The party firmly believes in upholding the principles of democracy and ensuring that every citizen enjoys the freedom and liberty enshrined in the Constitution,” he said.
Bhalla said the struggle for the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir is not a short-term battle. It is a long-term commitment. “The party will continue to work tirelessly to bring an end to the prevailing situation and ensure that the voices of the people are heard and respected,” he added.
JKPCC vice president and treasurer Rajnish Sharma and DCC president Jammu Urban, Manmohan Singh also spoke on the occasion.
Senior leaders Narinder Gupta, Rajveer Singh, Sanjeev Panda and others were also present on the occasion.
