JAMMU, Oct 22: Senior BJP leader and Councilor of Ward No. 69, Gurmeet Kour Randhawa, put completed works worth Rs 6.30 lakhs for public use to the residents of Sainik Colony. It included two culverts and drains around these culverts. Speaking on the occasion, Councilor Randhawa said. “This was the long outstanding demand of residents of the locality. I have doing my best to implement Modi’s slogan of reaching the ‘last man in the line’. This is possible due to relentless support provided by the residents of Sainik Colony.”
She stressed need of cleanliness to prevent spread of dengue in the locality. Stating that prevention is better than cure, she appealed to the residents to follow all precautions, avoid stagnation of water anywhere and use anti mosquito precautions to escape mosquito bite.
Rana Randeep Singh, a prominent resident of the Ward while speaking on the occasion highlighted achievements of the councilor. Others present during the occasion were Harbans Singh, Satpal Choudhary, Aditya Jamwal, Jagjit Singh, Roma, RK Verma, Nisha, Bakshi, Pooja, Sunita, Sahu, Gita, Simarjit Kour, Inderjeet Kour and others.
